WHEN TO GO HORSEBACK RIDING IN JORDAN :
Jordan has a Mediterranean climate. Horseback riding is pleasant all year round. Amman is sunny and cloudless from May to early November, with average temperatures around 23°C. Spring brings optimal weather for horseback riding holidays, lush with greenery. Fall is just as mild and pleasant. The months of July and August are hot and dry, but not oppressive, the evenings are cool.
If you don't mind the heat, go horseback riding in summer (from June to mid-August), tourists are less numerous. but be careful, the heat reigns from June to September in the south of the country, with temperatures exceeding 35°C. In spring (late March to mid-May) and early fall, the mild and sunny climate makes horseback riding very pleasant. Beware of heavy rains which can start as early as the end of October. As for winter (November to February), while it is not recommended in the north of the country (it can snow in Amman), it is on the other hand very mild in the Jordan and Wadi Araba valleys, on the from the Dead Sea and near the Red Sea (the water is 20°C at Christmas!) On the bivouacs, the nights can be cool: bring warm clothes and a good sleeping bag (-15°).
