Programme intro

INDICATIVE ITINERARY *

Day 1: Arrival in Spain (Barcelona or Girona) and transfer to our first accommodation, an old mill from the 16th century which enchants us with its unique character. The South American style garden is a beautiful relaxing paradise! What a beautiful place to begin your holiday in Spain.

Wonderful landscape Spanish horsesDay 2: The hinterland.
We leave the stables with our four-legged companions. Through fields and dense forests, our horses lead us reliably into the lonely hinterland of Catalonia. In this beautiful setting, a soothing calm and tranquility surrounds us and we discover hidden villages made of natural stone. In a good mood, we arrive at an old oil mill with enchanting charm. A hearty meal has been prepared for us. With each bite of the delicious tapas and each sip of the fine oils that we have the pleasure of tasting, we immerse ourselves deeper in the flavors of this unique region. Well rested, we return to our accommodation in the afternoon. After caring for our faithful horses, we end the day with another tasty dinner.

Trail ride with challenges Costa BravaDay 3: Spanish Horse Stud Farm
This morning, the Fluvià River accompanies us to the sea. In some places, we cross the river safely and ride through beautiful Catalan villages on horseback with the sound of hooves resounding. Under old cork oaks, our track assistant has already set the table for lunch! What a beautiful place to enjoy the delicacies! Refreshed, we set off again. In the afternoon, surrounded by rice fields, we arrive at our impressive home for the night: the oldest stud farm in Catalonia! At the stud farm, the friendly owner proudly presents his horses and tells us many interesting facts about the history of the Spanish horse. And who knows, maybe you will find the horse of your dreams here!

Horse riding Spain great companyDay 4: The Empordà plain.
We leave the stud farm through the rice fields and cross the Empordà plain to Castelló de Empúries with its majestic cathedral. We cross the northern marshy area of the Aiguamolls with its ornithological diversity. The Mediterranean Pyrenees frame the vast plain like an amphitheater. Near Roses, a luxurious house with swimming pool and spa offers us a pleasant place to stay.

Day 5: Cap de Creus.
Like mountain goats, our “Spanish” horses climb the mountainous Cape of Creus. At the top of the pass, we are rewarded with breathtaking panoramic views: the Gulf of Roses stretches to the south, while the Gulf of Lleó lies to the north. As we travel, grass and flowers line the path, and cork oaks add a touch of Mediterranean charm. We then descend into a peaceful valley framed by rolling hills. Soon, we pass through a picturesque village, its winding streets and traditional houses transporting us back in time. Here, a delicious lunch awaits us in a popular restaurant known for its warm hospitality. After this refreshing break, we continue through the breathtaking landscapes of the natural park, finally arriving at the lively fishing village of Port de la Selva. We spend the night in an elegant hotel. The afternoon is free, either relaxing on the beach or strolling through the charming village streets.

Day 6: The Wild Coast
An old trade route winds through the rocky terrain of the Cap de Creus Natural Park. This is where the last foothills of the Pyrenees plunge into the electric blue sea. The bright colours of the sky and sea, the eroded rock formations and the bright bays with their deep canyons immerse us in a strange coastal landscape. In a beautiful bay we picnic and go for a swim - what a paradise! We spend our last night in Cadaqués, a jewel of the Costa Brava. The whitewashed fishing village, with its old winding streets, is rightly considered the most beautiful village on the Wild Coast. The best "Paella" in the village completes our last evening of this horse riding trip.
